Arrowhead Center 2024 Holiday Card

Overview:

This is the 2024 holiday card I designed for the Arrowhead Center that was sent out both in print and digital form to the Arrowhead Center employees, clients, and partners, and was posted on the Arrowhead Center Social media platforms. It was made in Adobe Illustrator, using the Arrowhead Center fonts and color pallet of crimson, white, and gold. I chose to create and incorporate simple hand drawn elements into my design to make it in sync with the trending and popular style of holiday designs I saw for the 2024 season. However, while making this design contemporary with the 2024 holiday design style, I wanted to make the design stand out by creating symmetry within the design with some elements, then countering that symmetry with the placement of ornaments that were different from each other and therefor not mirroring each other on both sides of the card, but still creating a balance within the design. I also wanted to incorporate Arrowhead into the design by taking part of the arrow section of the logo and creating swirl patterns at the top and bottom of the card design. For the digital version of this holiday card, I created one with a drop shadow outline to give it a little more dimension on the screen and one where I added a slight animation to it, making the stars on the card appear as if they were twinkling.
